Gated community access without ripping out your hardware

SmartLotIQ does not sell gate hardware. Instead, the platform integrates with the controllers and openers HOAs already own, so a verified guest pass or recognized resident plate triggers the existing gate without manual intervention.

Supported gate platforms

  • LiftMaster MyQ Commercial — extremely common at townhome and small-condo HOAs.
  • DoorKing (DKS) 1830, 1834, 1835, 1837 series — common at master-planned and active-adult communities.
  • HID Aero, Edge, and VertX — common where the HOA shares an access-control system with a clubhouse or pool.
  • Linear / Nice Apollo — common at older Florida and California gated communities.
  • Generic dry-contact / IP relay — covers any gate operator with a programmable input.

How a gate event works

A vehicle approaches the gate. Either the resident presses a remote, the keypad receives a guest code, or the ALPR camera reads the plate. SmartLotIQ receives the trigger, decides whether to permit entry, and sends an open command through the gate integration. If denied, the gate stays closed and the denial is logged with reason.

Hours, zones, and rules

Per-property rules govern when and how the gate opens automatically: time-of-day windows, quiet hours (require manual approval at night), resident-vehicle bypass, watchlist hard-stop, and visitor-pay-to-park integration.
