You can also access the full Stripe customer portal to update payment methods, change plans, or cancel.

What is the AI license-plate scanning feature?

AI license-plate scanning is included with the Pro plan. Security takes a photo of any vehicle's plate from a phone and SmartLotIQ instantly recognizes the plate, looks it up against valid guest passes, watchlist entries, and resident vehicles, and shows a clear valid / unauthorized / flagged result. Pro includes 500 AI scans per month; additional scans are $0.25 each.

What pass types does SmartLotIQ support?

Residents register their guest's vehicle in seconds. The guest receives a QR code by email. When they arrive, security scans the code on a phone to verify the pass is valid for that day.

Is SmartLotIQ secure and private?

Yes. Every HOA community has its own fully isolated data. No vehicle, guest, or resident information is ever shared between properties.

What types of parking passes can SmartLotIQ issue?

How does SmartLotIQ prevent guests from sharing their QR code?

Every QR scan is logged with the scanning device's network fingerprint. If a single pass is scanned from three or more distinct networks within an hour, an info banner appears on the verification screen. At five or more, security sees a clear ‘Pass Sharing Detected’ warning so they can revoke or investigate the pass. One-time passes also auto-expire after the first valid scan.

Can my HOA add its own logo and brand color to SmartLotIQ?

Yes. Each property can upload a community logo and choose a primary brand color from the Branding page. Your logo appears in the dashboard sidebar, on the mobile gate header, and on the public guest verification page that security uses.

Can SmartLotIQ handle vendor and contractor parking?

Yes. The vendor pass type captures the business name on the pass — so security knows immediately whether it’s a delivery, plumber, or landscaper. Vendor passes can be scheduled like any guest pass and are tracked separately in reports.

How do I issue a one-time visitor pass?

Yes. Security or HOA staff can submit a tow request directly from the violations page, including photo evidence, plate, and reason. Requests are tracked through dispatch, completion, and resolution so the board has a full audit trail.

Can guests add their SmartLotIQ parking pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

Yes. Every guest pass page includes Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet buttons. The native pass shows the QR code, vehicle, and validity window so guests can pull it up at the gate without digging through email. Available on the Pro plan once the property has configured wallet credentials (free for Google Wallet; an Apple Developer Program membership is required for Apple Wallet).

Can visitors pay for guest parking themselves through SmartLotIQ?

Yes. The Pro plan includes Visitor Pay-to-Park. Each property gets a public booking page where any visitor can pick a duration, pay through Stripe Checkout, and receive a QR-coded parking pass by email instantly. Property managers set their own hourly rate, daily cap, and maximum stay. The revenue goes directly to the community's Stripe account — SmartLotIQ does not take a percentage.

Can SmartLotIQ open my existing gate hardware automatically when a valid pass arrives?

Yes. SmartLotIQ integrates with five gate-control providers: LiftMaster myQ Business, DoorKing (DKS), HID Origo Mobile Access, Genetec AutoVu ALPR, and any controller that accepts a signed HTTPS webhook. When an authorized pass is verified or an ALPR camera reads a plate that matches an active pass, SmartLotIQ can issue an automatic open command. Every event is HMAC-SHA256 signed with replay protection and stored in a tamper-evident audit log. Live myQ and HID control require an active manufacturer partner agreement.

Which ALPR (license plate recognition) cameras work with SmartLotIQ?

Any ALPR system that can POST a JSON event to a signed HTTPS endpoint works with SmartLotIQ. Genetec AutoVu has a first-class adapter; Milestone, HikVision, Avigilon, and most modern ALPR cameras can be wired in through the generic signed-webhook integration. SmartLotIQ verifies the webhook signature, looks up the plate against active passes and the watchlist, and can auto-open the gate on a valid hit.
